Hey internet world! It's been almost another week since I last posted. If you remember, we were on our way to a camping trip, but not just your ordinary camping trip, but a party camping trip. The best kind of camping!
I've been spending the week recovering, literally. I didn't even party that much- went to bed at 1 on Saturday and probably slept in till 8 or 9 on Sunday. I'm getting so old! Must be all those years of partying when I was younger. My body's way of getting back at me. Or it could just be my laziness (and I'm willing to bet it's probably about a good 40%) that makes me THINK I'm tired. But we won't get into that. :)
We had to drive 4 hours north by Redding to a small town called Belden. When I say small, I mean SMALL. You have to go over this bridge to cross the river to get into the town.
Belden Town, as the locals call it, is more like a RV and camping spot than a town. But people actually live there and they have a restaurant, general store and bar. Too bad I didn't put my photography (or lack of) skills to better use. I'm working on that though.
The hubby had two sets on Saturday, one during the day by the river and one at night in the "Dome". The river was great. I didn't go in- "forgot" my bathing suit.
By the end of the day the river was packed!
This is the hubby (right) and our friend (and former co-worker- we sat in the same office for over 2 years) chatting away before the hubby played.
There's the hubby getting down on some reggae tunes.
This record box belongs to a vinyl junky- my hubby!
My other friend and co-worker. His first "rave". He's from Spain.
The main stage. There are 3 stages at the site.
This is the Dome. Imagine one of those semi-circle things at the playground that you get to climb all over, but covered in a huge white cloth. That's the Dome. This is where the hubby played his 2nd set.
I LOVE pictures of turntables.
The ceiling in the Dome had these effects projected. It was so cool. This is an underwater scene.
When i first saw this outside of the Dome in the trees I thought it was a bunch of lights strung across the trees to make all of the glowing red and green lights. Then i realized it was just a projection in the trees. Wicked.
I wanted to share a little of that weekend since I haven't been sharing too many non-scrapbooking pics and stories that often anymore since I'm not doing Project 365. I came to the realization that even though i don't have time to scrap them I can still take photos. So starting on Monday I'll be getting back into it and posting more about what's going on behind the scenes instead of focusing only on crafting. yay!
Well folks, it's nighty night time for me. It's Friday tomorrow though. Yay!
Peace.
